Senior PMO Resource Management Analyst



AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced, motivated Resource Manager to internally support healthcare information technology projects for our customers. This position is located in our Chantilly, VA office.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

This position is for an experienced Resource Manager to work as part of a cross-functional team to support a rapidly growing organization in achieving efficiencies through streamlining and consolidating internal resource management. The Resource Manager will be responsible for supporting leadership in aligning the right people to the right projects at the right time. The successful candidate will work to ensure the organization meets its business and customer satisfaction goals through effective personnel management. The Resource Manager is responsible for all measurements, reporting and analysis of resource data and information. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the staffing and resourcing customer-facing engagements
  • Establishing and leading a process for resource planning, tracking and allocation across the organization, ensuring the right fit of capabilities against project and customer needs
  • Capacity planning, maximizing talent utilization and identifying staffing efficiencies across the organization
  • Managing tools, data, and reporting pertaining to resource management of staff, including capability, availability, and utilization data globally
  • Support the development of requisitions to attract candidates with the right skills and experiences required to support project needs
  • Support the ongoing tracking of workforce skillsets, certifications and capabilities
  • Recommending and implementing new processes and reporting metrics to continually streamline and provide greater resourcing efficiency
  • Partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive process improvement and integration of business performance objectives and initiatives
  • Oversee the facilitation of project onboarding, including the supporting personnel in completing federal government clearance processes


  • Relevant experience in business operations and/or personnel management, including knowledge of Resource Management principles in professional services
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, management, or related discipline and 7+ years of related work experience; 4 years additional experience in Resource Management may be substituted for degree
  • Proven experience engaging cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization, including executive-level management
  • Ability to lead and facilitate discussion groups
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, results and deadline-driven environment
  • Strong task management and continuous improvement skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Self-starter that can work under general direction
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • This position may support a government contract and have access to classified or government protected information for which US citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in the IT services industry, including software development, cyber security, or infrastructure services
  • Experience working with a federal government contracting organization
  • Experience supporting the facilitation of federal government personnel clearances
