Overview

AbleVets, LLC (www.ablevets.com) is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Works as a key member of AbleVets capture team to participate in strategy, solutioning and proposal writing activities in support of Federal and commercial proposal efforts
  • Support both management and technical proposal writing efforts; typical proposal responses are 20-30 pages.  Duty requires individual authoring of sections as well as coordination and support to other capture and writing staff resources
  • Strong ability to work in fast-paced, quick-turn proposal environment
  • Strong ability to perform critical thinking to help identify differentiators and to develop insightful questions to drive productive solutioning sessions with SMEs
  • Reviews requests for proposals (RFPs) or requests for information (RFIs) requirements; develops response approach and ensures agreed upon elements are incorporated into a cohesive and persuasive format
  • Researches and interviews AbleVets and teammate personnel, and gathers technical or business information for use in proposal development activities while incorporating appropriate proposal concepts, practices/procedures, and appropriate writing methodologies
  • Develops detailed annotated outlines to guide both yourself and other section authors in creating impactful, professional proposal content
  • Lead and/or support writing of technical, management, past performance, and other key proposal content. 

Candidate will have the opportunity to grow and expand their responsibility and roles within AbleVets broader Business Development organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 5-10 years’ experience developing proposals in the Federal market space OR 5+ years’ experience serving in a consulting or strategy capacity to Federal customers
  • Deep understanding of or experience with information technology or systems engineering disciplines
  • Strong experience using MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint)
