AbleVets has an opportunity available for an experienced, motivated Project Analyst to support healthcare information technology projects for our customers.


Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities


The successful candidate will use cross-functional team coordination experience and excellent communication skills to support project management functions across a large, complex COTS Integration program. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting project management by gathering requirements, drafting project plans, submitting project progress reports, and identifying risks and issues
  • Creating, applying, and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to schedule and host project meetings/conference calls
  • Creating routine and ad hoc reports
  • Providing oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms
  • Interacting with customers to diagnose problems and lead customers through the necessary steps to correct their issues
  • Developing mechanisms to track and report implementation of initiatives, guidance, and controls across the customers environment
  • Supporting the development and update of project management, plans, processes and other ad hoc project documentation
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to track project activities using tracking tools such as MS Project and SharePoint
  • Collecting and publishing lessons learned information





  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • 4-6 years of experience in project analysis, statusing, monitoring, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate efforts with key government and non-government stakeholders
  • Previous Government contracting work experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as is successfully passing a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large-scale PMO efforts
  • Previous Federal contracting experience, specifically with the Department of Veterans Affairs or the Department of Defense
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
