We are looking for a Business Insights Analyst who has a passion for analyzing data and discovering insights to serve as a change agent for a large government agency.  This individual will identify and work collaboratively with subject matter leads to assess a current business problem; gather requirements; determine data needs (both internal and external); utilize advanced analytics to create and deliver solutions; and then help the customer put the analysis in context (e.g., pointing out trends, discovering leading indicators, etc.) The successful candidate will also monitor and review our current dashboards and analytics products and assist our customers in understanding what the data is showing. The Business Insights Analyst will be able to understand the big picture, consume and rationalize details, think critically, and reason analytically to solve problems.

• Translate metrics and analytical information into easily understood information
• Analyze, develop, and create reports

• Manage data in analytic platforms and business intelligence tools, dashboards, reports
• Extract data from databases using software tools, such as SAS, SPSS, SQL, etc
• Effectively communicate to all levels of management, both within the company and with the client

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or Business Intelligence discipline plus 4 additional years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related environment
• 1+ years’ experience in a Business Intelligence (BI) environment using common BI reporting tools, such as, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Minimum 1-year experience analyzing business needs and defining detailed business requirements 
• Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently
• 1 year of hands-on experience with Agile BI development
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience in relational and dimensional data modeling and visualization
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, Agile-oriented environment
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust security clearance which will require successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.
