    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for a motivated Recruiter to support our growing organization. This position is located in our Chantilly, VA office.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will work with the recruiting team to source and secure the best technical talent available while ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of candidates through our screening process
    • Negotiate wages, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment with candidates
    • Maintain relationships with business contacts to gain industry knowledge
    • Perform full lifecycle recruiting activities including candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination/scheduling, conducting reference checks, offer negotiation, and closing of candidates
    • Manage the job requisition process including consulting with hiring managers on job specifications and requirements
    • Source candidates using traditional and non-traditional sourcing techniques such as online job boards; search engines; social media sites; cold calling targeted candidates and companies; networking through professional associations; and employee/candidate referrals and alumni
    • Continually evaluate and apply new sourcing methodologies to actively identify, cultivate, and grow target candidate pools of top talent
    • Work closely with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process, and promote effective and efficient hiring practices using consultative skills to influence all levels of internal stakeholders
    • Manage all candidate activity in applicant tracking system

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 to 8 years of demonstrated experience providing full lifecycle recruiting for a variety of professionals
    • Experience developing and maintaining strong partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders
    • Demonstrated ability to solve problems based upon available information and deliver work according to assigned timelines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong productive relationships
    • Team player with a sense of urgency to fill positions and motivation to see the team succeed
    • Experience recruiting for high volume, quick turnover proposal efforts
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Experience using applicant tracking systems

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or related discipline
    • Hands-on iCIMS experience
    • Previous Federal contracting experience
