  • Overview

    AbleVets is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition team at our headquarters office in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will provide support to a team of recruiters responsible for filling a high volume of positions in support of federal and commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Recruiting Coordinator and a desire to become a corporate IT recruiter.  Qualifed veteran candidates are encouraged to apply.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    As a Recruiting Coordinator you will provide a range of support, including:

    • Manage the documentation of candidate actions throughout the hiring processes and conduct quality control to ensure all required documentation is collected and tracked in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
    • Schedule technical screenings and interviews
    • Act as the liaison between the Recruiting team, outside agencies, hiring managers, and HR
    • Work with Project Leads to facilitate subcontractor interviews
    • Assist as needed with Talent Acquisition projects or administrative needs
    • Attend and contribute to the Recruiting team meeting and provide status updates
    • Assist as needed with reporting on recruiting metrics, employee referral programs, etc.
    • Look for ways to continuously improve the overall recruiting

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 3 years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator in a high-volume setting; four additional years of equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
    • Computer/system skills: Applicant Tracking System experience; MS Office, specifically Excel and Word, SharePoint desired
    • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organization skills required
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and independently
    • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and manage priorities and workload accordingly, both for yourself and the team as a whole
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally with coworkers, hiring managers, and external vendors

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience using iCIMS ATS platform
    • Previous recruiting experience or a desire to grow into a recruiting role
    • ROTC, Military Reservist students, and Veterans strongly encouraged to apply
