    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Account Manager to ensure a healthy and growing business operation within an assigned account. This position is located in our Chantilly, VA office and will involve up to 5% travel to areas within the United States.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    This position is for an experienced Account Manager that will assist the Account Executive in managing the growth of the existing account, managing services delivery, meeting requirements profitably, and conducting all delivery initiation processes, such as contract kick-off and contract management. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge in the following areas:

     

    Account Management

    • Supports the development of annual call plans and operating plans for the assigned account and implements the account strategy
    • Prepares account specific communications, including PowerPoint presentations and memos
    • Supports account objectives for revenue and gross profit

     Account Operations

    • Assumes the lead role in communications and execution of all operational matters on the account
    • Serves as liaison between project managers and recruiting, resource management, contracts, and financial analysts
    • Works with Project Managers to ensure healthy engagements and account financials, including predictable revenues, delivery margin, staffing, and equipment / facilities
    • Participates in monthly business reviews and supports project managers in corporate and account delivery initiatives
    • Works with Project Managers to develop project invoice schedules and to identify and track risks to invoicing
    • Develops and maintains account scorecard for measuring and monitoring program health
    • Reviews select program and contract deliverables for quality and accuracy

     Project Initiation & Mobilization

    • Prepares detailed plans to initiate project work based on contractual requirements, planned budget, and delivery milestones. This shall include initial project schedule, project financial plans, staffing and onboarding plans, and initial scope document.
    • Identifies, assigns and/or acquires resources to coordinate project initiation efforts of multiple teams and subcontractors in order to meet business objectives
    • Supports the development of contract kick-off materials, including PowerPoint presentations and meeting agendas
    • Works with contracts team to develop purchase orders, subcontracts and task orders to authorize work for employees and subcontractors

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline from U.S. Top 50 University
    • 8+ years of project management and/or management consulting experience with 5+ years at a Fortune 500 company / Big 4 Consulting Firm
    • Has prior experience and/or exposure with Scrum / Agile methodologies, DevOps, Cloud, and/or Cyber Security with enterprise-level applications and systems
    • 5+ years in a customer-facing role
    • Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure. Proven ability to effectively manage project budgets is essential
    • Current PMP certification
    • Effective written and oral communications with multiple levels of leadership involving both technical and business side of the project
    • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance 

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree or advanced Professional Degree
    • Direct experience with Department of Veterans Affairs
    • Atlassian JIRA (or similar tool) experience
