    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets is looking for an experienced systems administrator to fill a VMWare AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) role. This is a full-time opportunity located in our Chantilly office or remote.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    The VMWare AirWatch Administrator is responsible for providing operational engineering and support for the company and clients AirWatch EMM implementation. The Systems Administrator is responsible for support of core EMM technologies, backups, security policies, system access control systems and the design and implementation of new systems and procedures. This role works closely with business stakeholders to verify all support needs are met.


    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

     

    • Drive technical architecture for deploying, upgrading, and expanding EMM platforms to build upon and expand existing deployment as well as future strategies. This includes mobile app management, mobile device management, and other aspects of an EMM.
    • Lead mobile security architecture efforts and be the go-to specialist for mobile security, especially with all aspects of EMM and mobile devices.
    • Designs, maintains, upgrades and supports AirWatch and Workspace One environments
    • Owns customer issues from beginning to resolution
    • Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, performance, and usage of standard mobile devices, mobile applications and the EMM architecture
    • Strong expertise and troubleshooting experience with SMTP, TCP/IP, DNS and some level of experience with network troubleshooting
    • Provide guidance to enterprise on basic and advanced OS and EMM features and best practices.
    • Identify and evaluate mobile technologies/solutions; Collaborate with peers and leadership to negotiate and influence strategic roadmaps for our mobile solutions
    • Work closely with various mobile device and EMM companies to keep up with any of the emerging mobile technologies and trends in the mobile space
    • Lead operational efficiencies efforts including automation of routine tasks and testing where applicable.
    • Provide guidance to the enterprise on basic and advances mobile OS and EMM features and best practices
    • Identify and evaluate mobile technologies/solutions; collaborate with peers and leadership to negotiate and influence strategic roadmaps for mobile solutions
    • Work closely with various mobile device and EMM companies to keep up with any of the emerging technology and trends in the mobile space

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.  Requires five or more years in qualifying work experience if no degree
    • 5+ years of experience with AirWatch EMM Solution, with strong troubleshooting skills on AirWatch setup
    • Strong verbal and written skills; capable of effective communication and influential skills at all levels of the organization
    • AirWatch Enterprise Mobility Associate, Professional or Expert accreditations
    • Expertise with certificate based authentication (derived credential) and NIST SP 800-157

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of design and development of Java, web applications, and web services including REST APIs
    • Experience with mobile test automation frameworks
    • Working experience with agile development practices, such as Continuous Integration/Delivery, DevOps, Test-Driven Development etc.
    • Demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Come up to speed quickly in complex domains and effectively manage multiple concurrent activities
    • Must exhibit a leadership style that exhibits high energy, strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication and results orientation
    • Ability to obtain Public trust
