    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced, motivated Program Support Analyst to support healthcare information technology projects for our customers. This position is based out of Charleston, South Carolina.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    Candidate will correspond with various personnel at the Military Health Systems Program offices, Chief Information Officers at military treatment facilities and cyber security teams to ensure timely documentation and compliance reporting necessary for the accomplishment of the program's mission.  Position requires a technical foundation – the high level ability to understand basic computer processes and networks (not hands on keyboard level knowledge).

    • Ability to track, understand and aggregate Computer Network Defense tool compliance and report it verbally and in writing
    • Ability to process and track system access requests and various accounts
    • Provide updates to senior leadership on the status of current activities and upcoming actions
    • Experience with meeting/briefing/working with Customer/Sponsor and providing exceptional customer service
    • Ability to keep up with dozens of actions simultaneously
    • Ability to handle and maintain project schedules and complex tasks
    • Ensuring completion of actions weekly
    • Update PM software with project status, understand durations of activities
    • Ability to organize several deliverables at once
    • Experience with tracking, updating, reviewing and submission of documents
    • Must be able to understand the purpose of meetings and efficiently run them
    • Ability to capture and document meeting – minutes/notes
    • Ability to communicate effective both written (active voice) and verbally
    • Must have experience with overall project process and management improvement
    • Ability to be very efficient - find gaps/inefficiencies and fix
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
    • Proactive, able to see what's missing and take actions without being told to do so
    • Ability to adjust to new activities and tasks, flexible
    • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
    • Ability to work well with a team, be a good teammate
    • Confident, self-motivated, creative
    • Must be able to maintain a strong sense of professionalism

    Technical skillset:

    • Basic knowledge of how a computer works
    • Basic knowledge of how a network operates, hardware and protocols, ex. HTTP = 80
    • Basic understand IP management and subnetting
    • Ability to navigate monitoring tools and interfaces, e.g., Splunk
    • A curiosity and desire to learn about cybersecurity


    • Active DOD Secret Clearance required
    • Bachelor’s Degree plus one (1) year of related experience.  An additional (5) years of related expereince may be substituted for degree requirement.
    • IAM level 1 required, Security + certification or ability to obtain the certification within 90 days of hire
    • Up to 10% travel
