  • Overview

    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced frontend web developer who is motivated and well-versed in modern web development technologies and techniques. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members as well as clients is necessary.The position is located on-site at the customer’s facility in South Carolina. 

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    • Provide translation of the UI/UX design wireframes and requirements to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.
    • Ability to collaborate with backend developers and the customer themselves to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
    • Take an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Physical Sciences, Network Security, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science with a minimum of 6 years of development experience. An additional 6 years of related experience can be substituted for degree requirement.
    • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML, CSS3
    • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
    • A familiarity with aspects of Backend Development a plus
    • Security + Certification
    • Active DOD Secret Clearance required
    • Willingness to travel up to 10%
