    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced, motivated Cyber Security Analyst to support our VA customer. As part of the Program Planning and Reporting team, the Security Analyst will be responsible for providing reports, briefings, and other cyber security operations documentation. The position is located on-site at the customer’s facility.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    The successful candidate must be well-versed in cybersecurity operations and terminology . They will provide reporting and operational support in the areas of real-time security situational awareness, operational network system and applications systems security monitoring. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    • Incorporate ops and analysis team data into incident summary reports
    • Provide daily activity report, including incident status updates, trouble ticket metrics, 
    • Provide research and analysis to support the creation of briefings
    • Create monthly briefings summarizing actions, issues, and resolutions for customer executives and other government stakeholders
    • Maintain SOPs and other guidelines, policies, and procedures


    • At least Five (5) years of relevant IT experience. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline – e.g., Engineering, IT, computer science, is desirable.
    • Experience interpreting and implementing cyber security regulations
    • Excellent verbal communication skills
    • Outstanding written skills for preparing reports and briefings
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
