AbleVets has an opportunity for a motivated Tableau Architect to support our fast growing organization. This position is located in our Washington D.C. office.     Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities


    As a Tableau Architect, you will work with senior developers and cross-functional team members to create and maintain the data visualization platform. A successful candidate will also:

    • Develop innovative solutions to support multiple teams.
    • Build intuitive interfaces, infographics, and visualizations with storytelling dashboards.
    • Model data and transform as per visualization need with efficiency and high quality.
    • Create or refine data visualization guidelines, toolkits, and processes.
    • Rapidly iterate, prototype, and implement data visualizations using advanced design and development skills.
    • Work in a fast-paced Agile environment especially as it pertains to new idea generation.
    • Learn quickly and be excited by big challenges.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline plus a minimum of ten (10) years of related IT/Business Intelligence experience. Six (6) additional years can be substituted for degree.
    • Proven track record and portfolio of successful work in BI Visual Analytics (Tableau, Power BI, Etc.)
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, experience may be substituted for education
    • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
    • Experience with related systems such as, Tableau, Oracle-based products, SAS, OBIEE
    • Tableau Server Administrator 10 certified (Delta Exam version 10) and five (5) years minimum hands-on experience
    • Tableau Desktop Administrator 10 certified (Delta Exam version 10) and five (5) years minimum hands-on experience
    • Experience developing on both Linux and Unix platforms
    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust security clearance

    Preferred / Desired Skills:

    • Agile certification or experience in an Agile environment is a plus
    • SQL with advanced analytic functions
    • Ability to design Symantec data layer for visualizations
