    AbleVets, LLC is a fast growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced, motivated Functional Data/Project Analyst to support our customer. This position is located in our VA office in Washington DC.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    The Project Analyst will join a fast-paced, high-visibility team on a federal account. As part of the team, you work as part of an integrated team that is planning, developing, and deploying critical information exchange products for a large Federal Government organization. The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned tasks and provide daily status updates, working closely the Project Manager to prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Manage workload autonomously including planning, scheduling, and communicating with all relevant stakeholders.
    • Support development of project documentation, reports, and briefings.
    • Plan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of operating programs.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of business processes.
    • Track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
    • Define and maintain schedules in support of complex software development efforts (requires knowledge of and experience with the Agile software development lifecycle).
    • Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule and conduct scheduling performance studies.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to quickly identify problems, issues, and gaps.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Six (6) years of additional related experience can be substituted for degree.
    • Five (5) years of experience overseeing analysis of business, functional, technical, activities, and events to drive business process improvements
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Project
    • Proficiency in SQL
    • Experience in an Agile development environment
    • Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • U.S Citizenship & background screening
    • Ability to travel when needed
    • Ability to obtain public trust
