  • Overview

    AbleVets, LLC is a fast-growing Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing healthcare information technology services and resources to help the VA and DoD improve the lives of the people they serve. AbleVets has an opportunity for an experienced, motivated Program Support Analyst to support healthcare information technology projects for our customers.  There are multiple roles open at the junior, mid, and senior levels.  The position is located on-site at our customer's facility in Charleston, SC.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

    Candidates will correspond with various personnel at the Military Health Systems Program offices, Chief Information Officers at military treatment facilities and cybersecurity teams to ensure timely documentation and compliance reporting necessary for the accomplishment of the program's mission.  Position requires a technical foundation – the ability to understand basic computer processes and networks.

    • The track, understand and aggregate Computer Network Defense tool compliance and report it verbally and in writing
    • Process and track system and account access requests
    • Provide updates to SPAWAR leadership on the status of current and upcoming actions
    • Collaborate with Customer/Sponsor and providing exceptional customer service
    • Multitask with dozens of actions simultaneously
    • Maintain project schedules and complex tasks
    • Ensure completion of actions weekly
    • Update PM software with project status and track durations of activities
    • Perform tracking, updating, reviewing activities and submit various government documents
    • Capture and document meeting minutes and notes
    • Communicate effectively both written and verbally

    Qualifications

    Multiple levels available. Qualifications for each are:

     

    • Junior: High School Diploma plus four (4) years of relevant experience.
    • Mid: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field plus three (3) years of applicable experience. An additional six (6) years of applicable experience can be substituted for degree requirement. 
    • Senior: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field plus six (6) years of applicable experience. An additional six (6) years of applicable experience can be substituted for degree requirement.  A Security+ certification can be substituted for degree requirement as well.

     In addition to the above. Candidates must also possess: 

     

    • Active DOD Secret Clearance is required
    • Exposure to project process and management
    • Self-starter that can work under general direction in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
    • Basic knowledge of how a computer works
    • Basic knowledge of how a network operates, hardware and protocols, ex. HTTP = 80
    • Basic understand IP management and subnetting
    • Ability to navigate monitoring tools and interfaces, e.g., Splunk
    • Curiosity and desire to learn about cybersecurity
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
    • Ability to adjust to new activities and tasks
    • Ability to travel, if necessary
    • Active DOD Secret Clearance required

    Preferred / Desired Skills:

     

    • Security+ certification is a plus
